Lisa is a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation. She got her start in higher education, leading major-gift fundraising and alumni development at two public universities. She expanded her commitment to education as the chief operations officer for Michigan’s charter school association, where she galvanized its growth from startup to maturity, with a staff of 25. Through her work with the Michigan Association of Public School Academies, Lisa gained national perspective on charter schools and expertise in advocacy, lobbying, and securing and managing major federal grants.
Lisa holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in political science and economics and a Master of Arts in education administration, both from Central Michigan University.
Lisa has served more than 10 years on the board of a charter public school, where she has supported implementation of a transformative, project-based learning model. She lives in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, with her husband and three active sons. Together, they enjoy skiing, sailing and camping.
